I keep saying I’m going to do my best to blog once a week and then other things (like babies crying or, say, sleep) keep taking precedence. I do still love blogging, though it is much harder to find the time for it right now.
However, I got approval to go down to part-time work in mid-September (which is such a blessing and such, such good news for our family!) so at that point I’ll ideally be able to catch up on some activities (like that theatre company I run, blogging and oh, maybe some reading!) that have fallen down the ol’ priority list. I’m also looking forward so, so much to Mother Moose story time at the library and Mother and Me swim time at the pool. I’m also looking forward to some unplanned mornings, just hanging out stretching or playing in the dirt or walking around the woods together. It’s just one of the best feelings in the world to do things that I remember from my childhood with Baby GHM.
I’ve snapped a few photos over the past two weeks of life playing out at the ol’ Garagehome and burgeoning Farmstead. Enjoy!
This last weekend Maple went down to Chitina with another family to get fish. Each family is allowed thirty fish and we were very lucky – both families got the maximum of fish allowed. The weekend was then spent in a frenzy of filleting, canning, boiling (we use everything except the guts so the chickens get the boiled down scraps that we don’t eat) and dealing with the general mess of sixty fish.
