Finds of the Week! (Formerly known as TS Highlights o’ the Week)

Hello Lovely Readers!

The season of summer is upon us and with it…the season of GARAGE SALE-ING!!! Maple and I are quite the Garage Sale-ing fiends (even grouchy, 7 AM me is grudgingly rolled out of bed with the lure of hot coffee and sweet deals) and have been scoring some awesome finds. It’s fun and chill trolling up and down roads, keeping en eye out for signs. My eyes aren’t the best but, fortunately for me, I’ve got ol’ Eagle-Eye Maple with me on the road. We’ll be driving along at about 35 miles per hour on some highway and Maple will quickly signal, pull over to the side of the road, stop, wait for traffic to clear, turn around and pull down some random dirt road because he spotted a miniscule, white, hand-written sign advertising “GRAGE SLE. 9-3”

When the sales are spare (or we’re not finding much) we tend to have a blast simply driving around, drinking coffee and looking at other people’s houses (which I adore doing). I’ve always loved seeing what different people do when they’re building. We’ve seen some great houses and I’ve got Maple 90% convinced to build a wrap-around porch on our eventual Homehome (along with the walk-in closets, abundant shelf space and huge windows in all bedrooms).

For the following summer months the weekly-when-we-find-good-stuff-weekly feature will be modified to accommodate sweet garage sale deals as well. No, sweet reader, thank YOU.
