Sunday Sushi

Maple and I make Sushi every week (or as near to that as we can.) This last Sunday we were both prepping for a fairly crazy week at work. Maple was/is getting a major new piece of piece of equipment in the shop and would be training all week, and I was/am training and being trained at my job. Cray-cray. It was decided that a mountain of sushi was needed to fortify us for the week ahead.

Our good friend Chrissy came over with belated Solstice gifts and we ate much, much sushi – indeed, a veritable mountain.

We got to use the beautiful sushi plates that my mothers gave us as an elopement gift, made by a dear family friend Gordon Harrison. Good sushi, good people and good energy. It was a very good start to the week, which has lived up to it’s potential of crazy.

Aren't the plates beautiful? (Maple arranged the sushi just for this photo...)
