The Little Things…

It’s cold. And while everyone stays cheerful for a little while; occupying themselves with boiling water and throwing it outside to watch it evaporate before it hits the ground, watching all those movies you never saw when they originally came out (this last weekend was spent being introduced to “Beverly Hills Cop”) as well as catching up on all of those television shows that you don’t admit you actually watch (Hey “Bridezilla”, “Cheaters”, “Criminal Minds” and “Law and Order”!) Eventually, after a few days, everyone starts to get a little stir-crazy. You start to miss going outside without your lungs hurting from the cold. You start to miss being able to wear anything that isn’t bulky and fleece. You miss sun.

So. A few small things that I have been grateful for these past few days. Something warm and positive to focus on in the face of this lingering cold snap.
