Listening to the group “Over the Rhine” (find them at http://overtherhine.com/) Reminiscent of Dar Williams and Hem, these lovely harmonic tunes make you warm and cozy; even at -30.
Learning how simple some cooking can be, but how good it actually does make one feel. When I’m cooking for just me, ‘cooking’ consists of salads, cereal and peanut butter sandwiches. Maple made bagel pizzas on Sunday (but forgot the pizza sauce so they turned into cheesy bagels) with local bagels from Lulu’s, and a spinach salad with feta cheese. So simple, so yummy.
Loving how generous my sweet brother is. He and Maple put my TS skills to shame. A recent gift from him include these two little spice shelves, so now we can finally put all our spices over the stove. This is a vast improvement over our previous set-up, all of our spices crammed onto a single shelf up high, four rows deep. This guaranteed that any spice needed that was not in the front row necessitated climbing up on a stool, and knocking down three or four spices before finding the one you needed. Ahhh…Garagehome life.
My brother is also quite the giver of art. Below is a print he gave me a few Solstice’s ago, just got it up in the Garagehome this week.
Cheers and Love,
Maple and Me
